> Shizuoka woman held for prostituting 15-yr-old daughter to 71-yr-old ex-husband

SHIZUOKA — A 55-year-old woman was arrested under child prostitution and child pornography laws on Wednesday, accused of forcing her 15-year-old daughter to engage in indecent behavior with her ex-husband – a 71-year-old man she was married to after she got divorced from her original husband with whom she had the girl.

Police accuse the woman, a part-time employee, of taking her daughter to her second ex-husband’s house in Shizuoka City in June last year, forcing her to engage in indecent behavior. Police said the woman received about 20,000 yen from him and gave her daughter about 10,000 yen from that.

Police said the case came to light when the man went to the Shizuoka Central police station and confessed last month. They said they intend to a pursue charge against him also under child prostitution and child pornography laws. The girl told police her mother forced her to do it, and the woman has admitted to the allegation, telling police she needed money.
