The world’s first ever erotic 3-D movie will start shooting later this year, according to a film industry magazine.

Producer Stephen Shiu Jr said his company One Dollar Production will start work on “3D Sex and Zen” in April, reports Variety.

The film will be a sequel to the 1991 hit “Sex and Zen” and has a budget of HK$30 million (£2.8 million).

Shiu claimed making it in 3-D would be the best way to beat movie piracy.

Starring actresses from Japan and Taiwan, the film will be a tale of how excess can lead to tragedy.

The original “Sex and Zen 玉蒲團之偷情寶鑑” was based loosely on a 17th century Chinese literary classic “The Carnal Prayer Mat. 肉蒲团”

STOMPer Eyecandy caught sight of this cabby walking around in his underwear at an East Coast carpark yesterday. Appalled, the STOMPer observed that the half-naked cabby seemed to come out of his cab more when there were females around.

Says Eyecandy:

“Yesterday, at about 6.50p.m, I came across a middle-aged male stripping down to his underwear at carpark F2, East Coast Park.

“Furthermore, he was parading around his Comfort taxi in full view of people around the vicinity.

“He was very bold! There were females and a couple with young children walking past.

“He went in and out of his taxi a couple of times.

“Whenever there were females around, he would come out of his taxi in his underwear and pretend to clear his car mats in full view of onlookers!

> Foreigner charged with outraging modesty of underaged girls

JOHOR BARU: A 37-year-old Indonesian labourer claimed trial at the Magistrates Court to two charges of outraging the modesty of underaged girls.

Raja Baharudin was first charged with outraging the modesty of an 11-year-old girl at an abandoned building near Kampung Pasir Putih in Pasir Gudang here at about 9pm in December last year.

He was also charged with committing the same offence on another 11-year-old girl at the same place and at the same time last December.

The offences are classified under Section 354 of the Penal Code. Raja Baharudin faces a maximum 10-year jail sentence or whipping or both. He pleaded not guilty.

Magistrate Rasidah Roslee fixed bail at RM10,000 and set April 2 for trial. As of press time, the accused had not posted bail.

THREE soldiers beat up a 19-year-old full-time national serviceman at their camp one evening, upset by what they felt was his poor work attitude.

Recruit Jagjeet Singh was slapped, kicked and hit with a helmet, umbrella and broomstick until he lay semi-conscious and vomiting.

Even after a medic advised them to send the injured youth to hospital immediately, two of the attackers merely loaded him onto a trolley, wheeled him to his bunk and dumped him on the floor.

Yesterday, the three assailants were sentenced by a military court for the beating on Dec 17, which was so severe that the victim is still in hospital, six weeks after the incident in Bedok Camp 2 at Upper East Coast Road.

All three pleaded guilty. The main culprit, Lance-Corporal Nur Hilman Kassim, 23, was jailed three years and ordered to be caned six times. He will serve time in a civilian prison. Corporal Muhammad Fahmi Ibrahim and Recruit Hong Zhi Sheng, both 22, were sent to the detention barracks for six and four months respectively.

During the hearing at the Singapore Armed Forces’ Court-Martial Centre, the court heard that the three storemen had confronted their colleague at about 6.30pm on Dec 17, annoyed that his poor work attitude had landed them in trouble with their superiors.

The face-off was verbal at first, but it spiralled into violence when they became agitated by his blank stares and uninterested responses.

Nur Hilman hit the victim on the head, chest, shoulders and limbs with his hands, legs, a broomstick, an umbrella and a helmet. Hong and Muhammad Fahmi also slapped and punched him.

Hong left shortly after, while the victim was still conscious.

The other two finally called a medic at about 9pm. Recruit Jagjeet Singh was lying face-up on the floor of the office, semi-conscious and breathing heavily.

Later, they moved him to the bunk but left him on the floor because he was apparently too heavy to be lifted.

Help finally arrived only at 11pm, two hours later, when a campmate found him on the floor. At the intensive care unit in Changi General Hospital, doctors discovered bleeding in the right side of his brain. The recruit is now in a general ward.

Pleading for leniency, defending officer Ivan Gan told the court that all three men had no prior disciplinary problems and initially meant only to scold a colleague who could not be relied upon to carry out his duties.

But military prosecutor Samantha Lau argued that there was no reason for them to take matters into their own hands. Instead, they should have reported the recruit’s behaviour to their superiors for disciplinary action.

She urged the court to impose a deterrent sentence – especially on Nur Hilman – because ‘gangsterism’ could not be condoned.

Presiding judge Lieutenant-Colonel (NS) Aedit Abdullah, who was a district judge in the civilian courts, agreed.

Soldiers who had frustrations with their colleagues should go through the proper channels, he said.

‘(They) cannot take into their own hands remedial actions, and certainly cannot vent their frustration against their colleagues,’ he added.

> Man swaps empty lobster shell for crab legs

After he finished his lobster dinner, an upstate New York man apparently was still hungry for seafood so he swapped the lobster shell for crab legs — and now he faces a petit larceny charge.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputies said a 57-year-old man brought back a reassembled lobster shell to his local Price Chopper store and claimed the crustacean was spoiled.

The store manager was about to let him trade the lobster for a $27 bag of king crab legs when he discovered the lobster was just a shell. Deputies said the man ran from the store clutching the crab legs when he was confronted.

Deputies said the man had already devoured the crab legs when they caught up with him at home. He was given an appearance ticket to answer the larceny charge in court.

> Soldier throws baby into bin

A COUPLE’S argument over an SMS resulted in the husband throwing their three-month-old baby into a garbage bin, reported Harian Metro.

It quoted sources as saying that the couple were travelling in a car when the husband, a soldier, lost his temper after suspecting that a text message his wife received was from another man.

He stopped the car and threw their child into the bin near the Setiawangsa LRT station, stabbed his wife in the thigh and left her at the Ampang Hospital.

The baby was found by a security guard and the soldier later surrendered to the police after informing his superior.

A 47-year-old junior high school teacher in Ibaraki was arrested on Sunday, accused of engaging in indecent behavior with a 15-year-old high school girl he met through a cell phone dating site.

Hiroshi Saito, a social studies teacher at a junior high school in Hitachinaka City, is suspected of breaking child prostitution laws when he allegedly took the high school girl to a hotel in Tsuchiura City in early October last year, paid her 20,000 yen and engaged in indecent behavior, police said.

Saito told police he did it as he was stressed out from work.

> 5 boys face charges for suffocating a classmate during sand bath game

Police on Tuesday turned over to prosecutors their case against five junior high school boys who allegedly suffocated a classmate into unconsciousness during a “sand bath” game. Although Tochigi police believe the incident was an accident and the five had no intent to kill the 18-year-old boy while in a school playground last November, he remains unconscious, police said.

In the game, the boys dug a hole about 70 centimeters deep and buried the boy up to his neck in sand. It was apparently supposed to be a challenge all five were to participate in, with the winner being the fastest to dig himself out. Sand got into the boy’s throat but he was unable to move because only his head stuck out, police said. A teacher spotted the game and dug the student out but he was already unconscious by that time.

A doctor working in the intensive care unit of a Honolulu hospital failed to recognize her own father as she helped treat him for what proved to be a mortal head injury.

Dr. Shirley Domingo said Friday she was shocked to learn the identify of the 54-year-old beaten man later Tuesday from her brother.

Damaso Domingo died Thursday at The Queen’s Medical Center.

After talking with witnesses, police say they are seeking two men seen walking away from the wounded Domingo after an “exchange of words.”

Dr. Domingo says she hadn’t been in touch with her father for a while. She says the last time she had seen him was in July when she returned from medical training on the mainland.
